Thrilled to be exhibiting with Bethe Bronson, Suzanne de Emmony and Laura Marker in Parralel Parables, opening November 12th at Kirkdales Bookshop & Gallery.
In Parallel Parables, four artists come together who utilise or reference lens-based and historical printed media within their work using ‘allegorical procedures’ (Benjamin Buchloh). Through the use of montage, collage, projection, print and photography, intriguing and alternative visual narratives are created, de-stabilising and questioning the ‘known’, whilst exploring time, place, history, and personal/social narratives through their interventions. This show is appropriately set within one of London’s oldest independent bookshops with site-specific responses to the space and books within.
